🚩🔱🌹🙏 Introduction to the Kapalik 🙏🌹🔱🚩
The entire community of devotees asked,
“O Mahaprabhu! Who is called a Kapalik, and what is his subtle form?”
A Kapalik is one who has consumed Time itself, whose vast sky-like form is saluted by devotees thousands of times, with thousands of hands and thousands of faces. To that Kapalik Lord—whose feet are contemplated by Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Jesus, Muhammad, and Buddha—the devotees offer millions of prostrated salutations.
The beauty of the three worlds is but a tiny particle of whose Bhairavi Shakti. To that Bhairavi Power, all devotees bow in reverence. O devotees! From the power of the Kapalik’s soul were manifested Lakshmi, Tara, Durga, and countless other goddesses. Offer salutations to Him in all four directions, so that wisdom, intellect, memory, and the awareness of eternity may arise within you.
By doing so, you shall become pure and sacred, and you will be able to introduce other beings to the divine essence of the Kapalik Lord. The skull-bearing Lord, the Lord of all gods, is the cause of the creation and destruction of all beings in existence and is the ultimate liberator of His devotees. Bow to such devoted beings.
O living beings! Offer salutations to that Kapalik Lord who resides as the Self within the hearts of all. Bow to that Kapalik who exists as the inner soul. He who is void, serene, the essence of “I Am,” and the knower of all—offer daily salutations to that Kapalik who exists as pure knowledge and the eternal Self.

An Introduction to the Esoteric Shakta Traditions of the Kapalik Sampradaya
Let us come to know something about the secret Shakta traditions of the “Kapalik Sampradaya.”
Established since ages in the Himalayas as a supreme Tantric seat, the Kapalik Peeth recognizes all forms of Shakti worship as Shakta Tantra.
Shakta Tantra is not a written scripture but a living collection of unwritten rules, disciplines, and traditions, because both Shaiva and Shakta paths are Guru-transmitted (Gurugamya). Therefore, first and foremost, we present the Shakta-Tantric portrait of Kapalik Peethadhishwar Mahayogi Kapalik Navraj Saraswati Ji Maharaj and pray to him to reveal these sacred mysteries.
Navraj Saraswati himself is a profound mystery. His true expanse can only be understood by a seeker who has deep and serious study in Tantra.
Devi Kurukulla – The Principal Shakti of Kapalik Peeth
The primary power of the Kapalik Peeth is Devi Kurukulla, renowned and revered as a goddess of miracles. In essence, she is none other than Devi Durga or Shakti herself. However, due to her royal form and distinct incarnation, she is also known as Rakta Tara or Red Tara.
Any prayer made to the Goddess is ordained to remain secret.
The Kapalik Peeth is founded upon the worship of the Ten Mahavidyas, along with sixty-four Yoginis and numerous Matrika powers. Mother Parvati is regarded by the Kapalik Sampradaya as the originator of the Shakta path, and her worship holds great importance. Yet, all supreme knowledge flows from the Shakta Acharya.
The Shakta Lineage
We present the image of the Shakta supreme authority of the Mahahindu tradition,
Anant Vibhushit Kaulakulacharya Jagadguru Tantra Shiromani Pujyapad Kapalik Mahakal Navraj Saraswati Ji.
The Kapalik Sampradaya accepts Shakta Tantra as its foundational Tantra.
The Inner Philosophy of Shakta Tantra
Within a human being exist both feminine and masculine elements. When one manifests externally, the other remains hidden within—just as the feminine exists within man and the masculine within woman. In truth, the Shiva–Shakti principle is androgynous. Tantra reveals this profound mystery.
The most essential principle of Shakta Tantra is that:
The completeness of a man lies in the feminine principle.
The completeness of a woman lies in the masculine principle.
When these two elements merge in balance, one experiences Shivabhava (ultimate completeness)—a truth revealed by Mahadev Shiva himself in the form of Ardhanarishwara.
For this reason, Shakta Tantra depicts Avadhoot figures of both men and women, and thus Tantra is often misunderstood as obscene. In reality, this is entirely false. Shakta Tantra opens the gateways to the mysteries of the body and leads the seeker toward transcendent, bodiless experience.
However, this path is extremely complex, and many practitioners fall from it. Hence, it is considered restricted (Nishiddha).
Kali, the Life Force of Tantra
Bhagwati Kalika is regarded as the life force of this discipline. Due to the distinction between Vama (left) and Dakshina (right) paths, the Vama path is kept secret and meant only for those renounced from worldly life and wandering in isolation. The Dakshina path, however, is revealed for all seekers, including householders.
The presiding deity of this path is Dakshina Kali, also known as Dakshin Kalika, who represents the complete form of Kali.
The Kapalik Sampradaya worships Kali in the form of Kamkalakali.
Kamkalakali and the Kapalik Vision
While the Kapalik Sampradaya places special emphasis on the worship of Kamkalakali, it does not diminish the importance of other forms of the Goddess. It is due to Kamkalakali that the Kapalik tradition embraced the union of male and female love within Dharma, never considering either woman or man as an obstacle on the spiritual path.
Yet, Devi Kali is a Mahashakti. When she absorbs tamas, she becomes Mahavikaral (terribly fierce). Therefore, seekers are advised to primarily worship Dakshina Kalika.
Many practitioners continuously chant the mantras of Dakshina Kali. However, within the Kapalik Sampradaya, the pronunciation, method, and even the mantra of Dakshina Kali are distinct and unique.
The Symbolism of the Cremation Ground
The most crucial understanding is that Kali is associated with the Shmashana (cremation ground)—not the place where bodies are burned, but the cosmic cremation ground of dissolution, the universe at the time of pralaya.
Fire is her nature; destruction is her character. Yet, Shakti never violates divine order. She is Nature itself and the creator of Nature—ever new, ever renewing. This is the supreme mystery of Shakti Tantra.
Shakti does not accept stagnation. She grants dynamism, ecstasy, and purpose, enabling the seeker to rise to the summit, understand the illusion of Maya, and experience the indescribable bliss of the peak.
Final Teaching of the Kapalik Sampradaya
The Kapalik Sampradaya instructs seekers to first complete the sadhana of Dakshina Kali, so they may become worthy of understanding the mysteries of all powers within the Kali Kula.
Within the Kali Kula exist the Sixty-Four Kriyas, along with secret Tamasic Yoginis and Yakshinis. Shakta Tantra advises that the esoteric forms of Dakshina Kalika must remain hidden. We too adhere to this discipline and shall not disclose them here.
This knowledge is Guru-transmitted alone.

---Introduction and Mysteries of the Kapalik Tradition ....
At the sacred site of Maa Dasmukhi Kali, within the Kapalik tradition, the supreme seat of Kapalik lineage holds a position of the highest spiritual authority. To ascend to this exalted throne, Guru Vamacharya Kapalik Bhagwan Satyanand Saraswati Ji granted initiation to Revered Kapaleshwar Mahaprabhu Kalikanand Saraswati Ji.
However, with humility and reverence toward his Guru Mandal, Revered Kapaleshwar Mahaprabhu requested that the first arrival to this seat should be Mahaprabhu Kapaleshwar Satyanand Saraswati Ji, the disciple of Maa Dasmukhi Kali. Thus, he became the first Peethadhishwar (spiritual head) of this sacred seat.
Thereafter, Mahaprabhu Kapalik Kalikanand Saraswati Ji became the second successor of this Peeth. Upon assuming this position, he took a solemn vow for universal welfare (Vishva Kalyan). His ascension enhanced the glory and sanctity of the Kapalik Peeth.
Yet, Mahaprabhu Kalikanand Saraswati Ji always remained concerned about who would become the third successor of this sacred seat. After many years, seeking forgiveness from his Guru lineage and by the divine grace of Maa Dasmukhi Kali, the third successor manifested in the form of a child.
Mahaprabhu Kapaleshwar Kalikanand Saraswati Ji rigorously tested the child Navraj Saraswati on every spiritual parameter, examining him thoroughly through yogic and divine powers. After complete satisfaction, he bestowed Guru Diksha upon him, shaping him into a great Kapalik.
For eight years, Mahaprabhu Kalikanand Saraswati Ji guided Navraj Saraswati through intense penance and enabled him to attain direct divine vision (Sakshatkar) of Maa Dasmukhi Kali. After completing all traditional and legal formalities, he officially declared Balak Navraj Saraswati as the future Peethadhishwar of Shri Dasmukhi Kali Peeth.
With this declaration, the entire Kapalik community, along with saints and ascetics of the Himalayas, rejoiced immensely, as Balak Navraj Saraswati had received the divine vision of Maa Dasmukhi Kali. Even today, Maa Dasmukhi Kali communicates directly with Revered Mahaprabhu Kapalik Navraj Saraswati Ji, who is presently seated as the living Guru form of this Kapalik Peeth.
Revered Mahaprabhu Kapalik Navraj Saraswati Ji established ten Kapalik Peeths and is regarded as a national spiritual heritage of Nepal. Throughout his life, he worked tirelessly for universal welfare, just like his Gurus.
There is no doubt that Baba Navraj Saraswati Ji Maharaj is a divinely realized soul by birth (Janma Siddha Mahapurush). His incarnation fulfilled the prophecy of Kapaleshwar Satyanand Saraswati Ji, who had foretold that he himself would return in child form as the third Peethadhishwar.
---Mystery of Jagadguru Kapalik Satyanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj ....
The divine Vam Tantra Peeth of Nepal, associated with Shiva Swarup Jagadguru Kapalik Vamacharya Satyanand Saraswati Ji, is a place of immense spiritual power. Whether one believes in miracles or not, the glory of this place is such that even divine beings long to visit it.
Due to thousands of years of continuous special rituals, penance, and the presence of subtle-bodied sages engaged in constant mantra japa, this Peeth has become more fruitful than heaven itself. The atmosphere naturally resonates with the vibrations of sacred mantras, and anyone who visits experiences profound peace.
Situated on the banks of the Narayani River, at the foothills of the Red Mountain in the ancient forest called Madhuvan, this site is known as the first Siddha Peeth of Maa Dasmukhi Kali, revered in scriptures such as Devi Bhagavat, Kularnava Tantra, Rudrayamal Tantra, and Kali Hridaya Kavach under names like Shyamapeeth, Dakshin Kali, and Kapalik Peeth.
According to Guru-Shishya tradition, Baba Kapalik Kalikanand Saraswati Ji began his Tantra sadhana from this very Peeth and later became its second Peethadhishwar. Acting on the divine command of Maa Dasmukhi Kali, he performed Mahasadhana on 108 corpses, after which the Vamacharya Peeth was established upon sacred skulls.
Today, this 25-acre Siddha Peeth is under the guidance of Shri Gurudev Kapalik Vamacharya Navraj Saraswati Ji Maharaj, the third Peethadhishwar. Under his guidance, continuous activities such as Anna Kshetra (free food service), Gaushala, Old Age Service Ashram, Charitable Hospital, Vedic School, Saint Service, and regular rituals are conducted.
This is the only Siddha Peeth in the world where no innocent animal sacrifice is performed. One need not even ask for anything—mere presence before Maa ensures welfare and blessings.
--Kapalik Lineage (Vanshavali) ....
Shri Shri 1,11,108 Tantra Shiromani Himalayan Vibhushit Kapalik Navraj Saraswati Ji Maharaj is regarded as one of the greatest Kapalik Tantriks of the present era.
He belongs to the lineage of Kapalik Satyanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, the first disciple of Maa Dasmukhi Kali. His Guru was Jagadguru Kapalik Kalikanand Saraswati Ji, and his Grand Guru was Kapalik Satyanand Saraswati Ji, whose divine mother was Maa Dasmukhi Kali herself.
Born in Bihar, Gurudev renounced worldly life at an early age and performed severe penance in the Himalayan forests for eight years. His entire life is devoted to Kapalik Tantra, Kaula Tantra, Mahayana, Vajrayana, Hirayana, Bhairavi Sadhana, Shava Sadhana, and the worship of the Ten Mahavidyas.
According to Kapalik belief, the skull (Kapala) contains immense divine energy, and all offerings made through it are first presented to the deities before being consumed as sacred prasadam.
The Kapalik tradition traces its origin to Lord Bhairava, who carried Brahma’s fifth head for twelve years as penance. Since then, the Kapalik tradition has existed as the oldest spiritual lineage of the universe.
Today, Kapalik Navraj Saraswati Ji Maharaj is considered a living heritage of Nepal, honored even by the Prime Minister of Nepal. His entire life is dedicated to the preservation, practice, and propagation of the Kapalik tradition.

(Kali Peethadhishwar and Vamapithadhishwar)
“You have not been sent into life to rest, but to work.
Death will arrive bringing rest.
But reflect—what will you say to God?
How did you find this creation, and what contribution did you make?”
---Guru’s Instructions and Advisory ....
Om Chaitanya Kapalike Maha Maya Adishakti Dasmukhi Kalike Namo Namah
I bow repeatedly to Shri Shri 1,11,108 Tantra Shiromani, Himalayan Vibhushit Gurudev Kapalik Navraj Saraswati Ji Maharaj.
The Kapalik tradition never brings harm to anyone. It is a spiritual path that inspires humanity toward truth and self-realization.
There are many misconceptions in society about the Kapalik tradition, which cause fear among people. However, the Kapalik Sampradaya never seeks ill for anyone.
The true objective of the Kapalik Ashram and Vamacharya Peeth is to remove misunderstandings, promote public welfare, and engage in social service, which is the core dharma of the Kapalik path.
Today, many people mistakenly equate Tantra Vidya with black magic, which is entirely incorrect. Tantra Sadhana is simply a sacred and powerful path to attain God.
Tantra Sadhana is not easy. In modern times, many people merely wear black or saffron robes and claim to be tantriks without understanding the true scriptures and traditions. Such individuals have tarnished the reputation of Tantra Shastra.
To become a true sadhak, one must receive education within the Guru–Shishya tradition, under the direct guidance and presence of the Guru.
Today, social media is spreading hypocrisy and false practices. I humbly request all sincere seekers to stay away from such deception.
